Shepley Bulfinch designs spaces where tomorrow's ambitions are realized, offering architecture, planning, and design solutions to leading institutional and corporate clients.

We see design as a process, not a problem. Because one size doesn't fit all, we don't show up with an off-the-shelf solution. Instead, we bring our ambition, expertise, and passion for design partnership, synthesizing our clients' vision into a plan of action and physical form.

That's why our clients say we give them spaces that work for them - that at times we understood what they were asking for before they did.

Inspiration isn't constrained by disciplinary or geographic boundaries. With studios in Boston, Phoenix, and San Francisco, we're a diverse community of 160 people with a pluralism that makes room for diverse thinking. We work together in open and flexible studios, inspiring and challenging one another.

In our practice, founded by architectural giant Henry Hobson Richardson in 1874, we take Richardson's vision and his passion for design and we make it our own.

Shepley Bulfinch is certified as a woman-owned business enterprise (WBE) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Recipient, American Institute of Architects (AIA) Firm Award
