Miss Maricopa County 2017 to perform at ACELebration of Leadership Gala

  • PDF

Asian Corporate & Entrepreneur Leaders (ACEL) is happy to feature Ms. Courtney Ortega as a performer at the 2017 ACELebration of Leadership Gala.

From feeding the homeless during the holidays to performing at community events, Courtney Ortega is a leader in spreading generosity throughout her locale. She enjoys getting involved in HopeKids and the Cancer Foundation while she looks forward to a future in surgical tech by attending Brookline College.

With her primary title of Miss Maricopa County, Ortega has the opportunity to make an even bigger impact in the community. With that fact in mind, Ortega said that being the winner of a Miss America preliminary competition displays its own form of leadership.

"Just being a titleholder itself allows me to be a role model for young girls," Ortega said. "They see us as a real life princess and seeing their faces light up is what matters."

Ortega said being passionate about her causes is what makes volunteering meaningful for her. As she brings her talents to the gala stage in January, Ortega will represent a belief in the importance of passions and every organization, including ACEL.
