Following your passions in the non-profit sector often seems like a daunting task especially when you're fresh out of college or seeking a dramatic career change. In most cases, the path toward a non-profit career is the biggest unknown.

ACEL will present "Energizing Your Passions: Establishing a Career in the Non-Profit World" at the Dynamics of Leadership conference on July 9 to prove that the entrance into a job you're passionate about is bigger than you think. Led by four panelists -- Nobu Hara, Elizabeth Clements, Elizabeth Greene and Tom Egan -- the talk will enable you to map out the best approaches to become a non-profit leader. The panel will be moderated by WebPT Sales Development Manager Kim Hamby, a 40 Under 40 Business and Community leader who currently serves as ACEL's Mentorship Program chair and as a board member for numerous non-profit boards.

Hara has served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Talent Officer for Goodwill of Central Arizona for 10 years. He is often recognized for his creative and innovative approaches in workplace environments, as well as his ability to build loyal, resilient teams through positive conflict communication. With over 25 years of top-level experience in the field, Hara brings an HR perspective that provides insight on what non-profit leaders are seeking from employees.

Clements is the Senior Director of Human Resources & Administration at Junior Achievement of Arizona, a leading nonprofit through which she educates students on financial literacy. She spent a decade working with a commitment to people within the workplace and continues to volunteer with various non-profits through the Society for Human Resource Management. She will use her passion for people and bringing out the best in them to help conference attendees explore the non-profit world.

Greene, the Assistant Director of Human Resources at Fennemore Craig, is a change-maker in the field of law. She has effectively built commitment and camaraderie among peers in her field to make a difference in her company's culture. As an active volunteer for ACEL and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, she will bring her insights about working in the non-profit world and erase the hesitancy you may face while thinking about a new career.

Egan entered the nonprofit industry in 1995, helping homeless population access healthcare. Today, he is the President and CEO of the Foundation for Senior Living, an organization he gifted with his passions for poverty reduction, child and animal welfare, developing age-friendly communities and human trafficking prevention. A member of various local and national boards and taskforces, Egan will utilize his rich background in international social services and non-profits to bring attendees the push they need do their passions justice, too.
